I am interested in a diverse set of topics ranging from a basic avian biology (breeding and migration), through evolutionary and behavioural ecology, to signalling and communication in birds. I am dealing with various groups of birds, with the little auk being the prime model species.

I am carring out my research both in the field (Arctic, Faroe Islands, Poland, France) and in the molecular lab (molecular: sexing, parentage analyses, population genetics, MHC genes).
